Gram's and the NNY Community Foundation: Giving Back

January 14, 2015, marks our second anniversary owning our beloved Gram's Diner.

Our first holiday season we launched Gram's Gives Back, our annual initiative to give back to the community that supports us. The winter of 2013-2014 we raised funds and awareness for the Rhode Community Center and were beyond impressed with how fast word spread and how people helped us publicize what a fantastic organization the Rhode Center is.

This year we're celebrating our second anniversary by making a donation and lending our support to a brand new initiative from the great people at the Northern New York Community Foundation: The Six Town Community Fund.

The Six Town Community Fund is a permanent resource funded through private donations and the NNYCF that supports programs and projects that enhance the quality of life in the six town region, which consists of Adams, Ellisburg, Henderson, Lorraine, Rodman and Worth.

What that means is that the monies in the Six Town Community Fund are made available to a multitude of projects and programs that will make the quality of life in OUR area that much better. The Fund is overseen by representatives from the six town communities who determine how to leverage the funds in the most beneficial way for the community at large.

We're thrilled to be able to make this donation and support both the Community Foundation and the Six Town Fund. The Fund is in its beginning phases, so we're even more excited to watch it grow and start impacting the lives of everyone in Adams, and our surrounding communities, in amazing ways.
